Tournaments
Tournaments are a cornerstone of the Arcadia platform, designed to bring an added layer of excitement and competition to our gaming ecosystem. By offering tournaments across various games, we aim to drive daily traffic and foster a vibrant community of engaged players. Our tournaments are built on blockchain technology, ensuring transparency, security, and fairness in every competition.
How Tournaments Work
Entry and Wagering: Players can join tournaments by wagering a specified amount of $GAMES tokens. For example, a Ludo tournament might require a 100 $GAMES token entry fee. This entry fee contributes to the tournament’s prize pool, which is awarded to the top performers at the end of the competition.
Tournament Examples
Ludo Tournament:
Entry Fee: 100 $GAMES tokens
Participants: 32 players
Format: Single-elimination
Prize Pool: 3200 $GAMES tokens (with a percentage distributed to the top 3 players)
In a single-elimination Ludo tournament, 32 players compete in knockout rounds until only one remains. The prize pool is distributed among the top players, with the winner receiving the largest share, followed by the runner-up and the third-place finisher.
Battleships Tournament:
Entry Fee: 50 $GAMES tokens
Participants: 64 players
Format: Double-elimination
Prize Pool: 3200 $GAMES tokens
A Battleships tournament might use a double-elimination format, giving players a second chance if they lose an initial match. This format ensures more gameplay and opportunities for participants, making the tournament even more engaging.
Guaranteed Open Backgammon Tournament:
Entry Fee: 250 $GAMES tokens
Participants: Open till registration close
Format: Single-elimination
Prize Pool: 50000 $GAMES tokens
A large-scale Checkers tournament that is open for registration until the timer runs out. This might result in a lower wagered amount than the prize pool provided by Arcadia, to the benefit of the players.
Driving Traffic and Engagement
Daily Traffic: By offering a variety of tournaments across different games, Arcadia ensures that there is always something exciting happening on the platform. Players are motivated to log in daily to check for upcoming tournaments, register for competitions, and practice their skills. The thrill of competition and the potential for rewards drive continuous engagement.
Community Building: Tournaments foster a sense of community and camaraderie among players. As participants compete against each other, they build connections, form rivalries, and develop a deeper investment in the Arcadia ecosystem. The integration of social features like Discord chat further enhances this community aspect, allowing players to discuss strategies, share experiences, and celebrate victories together.
Rewarding Loyalty: By consistently participating in tournaments, players can earn significant rewards, both in terms of $GAMES tokens and in-game recognition. Leaderboards and achievements provide additional incentives for players to stay active and strive for excellence. Note that only games played with $GAMES tokens rewards points for the leaderboard and player rewards.
